Most scaffolds go up from standard components in a standard pattern. Some do not. A tall run, an odd load, a cantilever over a structure, a suspended system, or a public-right-of-way permit can all push a job past the standard drawings and into engineered territory. Scaffold engineering is where a layout gets designed and stamped so it carries the load, meets code, and passes inspection.
When a job needs engineering
Cities and OSHA require an engineered design once a scaffold passes certain heights, carries unusual loads, or departs from the manufacturer standard configuration. Cantilevered platforms, bridging over obstacles, heavy material storage on the deck, suspended and hanging systems, shoring for concrete, and sidewalk structures in the public right-of-way commonly trigger it. If a plan reviewer or an inspector asks for stamped drawings, this is the service that produces them.
What we deliver
We produce layout and design drawings, load calculations, tie and bracing plans, and the stamped documentation a jurisdiction needs to approve the work. We design around the real conditions: the ground, the structure, the loads, and the access. The result is a plan your crew can build to and an inspector can sign off, without the back-and-forth that stops a job.
Engineering that connects to the build
Because we also install and rent the equipment, the design and the build stay on the same page. An engineered shoring plan, a stamped event structure, or a permitted pedestrian canopy all move straight from drawing to installation with our crews. That removes the gap between the engineer who drew it and the crew who has to build it.

We support permitted and complex jobs across Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties. Send us the scope and the site and we will tell you what the design needs. Pair it with installation and rental.
Scaffold Engineering, FAQs
When does a scaffold need engineering?
When it exceeds standard heights, carries unusual loads, uses a non-standard configuration such as a cantilever or bridge, is suspended, or sits in the public right-of-way. Plan reviewers and inspectors often require stamped drawings in these cases.
Do you provide stamped drawings?
Yes. We produce layout drawings, load calculations, tie and bracing plans, and stamped documentation that jurisdictions accept for permit approval and inspection.
Can you engineer shoring and suspended scaffolds?
Yes. We design load-rated shoring for formwork and concrete and rigging for suspended and hanging systems, both of which usually require engineering.
Does engineering connect to installation?
Yes. We rent, engineer, and install, so an engineered plan moves straight to our crews for the build with no gap between design and construction.
